“Jesus Is My Homeboy: Behind the Icon” documentary

In 2011 I wrote a piece on the little-known story behind the “Jesus is my Homeboy” T-shirt. (Read “Jesus Is My Homeboy: The Story That Started It All.”)

I’ve just learned that the story is being made into a documentary, in cooperation with the originator of the image, Van Zan Frater. Spencer Williams and his film crew have 16 more days to raise $54,508 to cover production costs.
